Meet Cara George, Your Trusted Birth Support Professional

Cara George is a certified childbirth educator, placenta encapsulator, and doula with years of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. As a certified childbirth educator, placenta encapsulator, and doula, she brings years of experience to her work, ensuring parents feel confident and informed every step of the way.

Her journey into birth work began with the care she received from two volunteer doulas during her first pregnancy. Their guidance and reassurance inspired her to become a birth professional herself, recognizing the power of education and compassionate support in shaping a positive birth experience.

With over seven years as a birth worker and fifteen years in infant care, Cara has worked with families from all walks of life. She believes that every parent deserves access to high-quality education and individualized support, no matter their birth preferences. Whether preparing for labor, navigating the postpartum period, or exploring placenta encapsulation as a recovery tool, she ensures that parents receive the knowledge they need to make informed choices.

Cara’s professional training includes certifications from leading organizations such as LAMAZE and DONA International. Her expertise extends beyond birth classes, encompassing postpartum care, lactation support, and newborn care. She has served as a centering instructor in hospital settings, taught in-home newborn care classes, and mentored aspiring doulas through pregnancy resource centers. Her hands-on experience includes supporting parents through medicated and unmedicated births, VBACs, high-risk pregnancies, water births, and home births.

Beyond her professional life, Cara is a mother of four children, born in 2015, 2017, 2021, and 2023. Her personal experiences with both hospital and out-of-hospital births allow her to connect with parents on a deeper level, understanding their concerns and providing reassurance. When she isn’t teaching or working with families, she enjoys dance parties with her kids and exploring new restaurants with her husband.

Through her work, Cara strives to provide families with the confidence and knowledge they need to navigate birth and early parenthood with peace of mind. If you're looking for guidance, education, or hands-on support, she is here to help.
